BIG BALLS from Ostwestfalen (where ever the fuck that is - the translator) was formed by "Chicken" and former guitarist Dirk Reinking. The band play a whole bunch of songs which were recorded by AC/DC in the 70's with Bon Scott, but do not consider themselves a pure coverband. Over the years their own hard rock and roll charakter chrystalised out of the five musicians from Minden and surrounding area.
The CD "In Memory Of Bon Scott" released in 1997 (distributed by Maple Leaf Records, Augsburg) which includes their own material confirms this in an impressive way.

The band from Minden/Germany have been presenting their AC/DC cover programm in and around Germany since 1992. During their concerts, which are up to 3 1/2 hours long, well known hits from the Bon Scott era as well as originals from their CDs can be heard. Behind frontman "Chicken" who's voice has an amazing resemblance to that of Bon Scott, drummer Garrelt and bassist "Hafer" produce the faithfull groove. The guitars from Peter and Christian provide the riffs and licks which make the line-up complete.

BIG BALLS have supported names at the Harley Jamboree in Berlin such as Roger Chapman and Skew Siskin, as well as the Rodgau Monotones at the Rock spectacle in Harsewinkel near Guetersloh, Slade, Sweet T-Rex at the Classic Rock Festival in Raderhorst and, of course, played at the AC/DC fan meeting in Trebur near Frankfurt. BIG BALLS rank amongst the best AC/DC cover bands in Germany. The beginning of 1998 brought changes to the line-up and with a new crew they have produced around sixty shows at biker parties and open air festivals successfully. Those who would like a live impression of the band, the 1999 released CD "Live and high voltaged" is highly recommended.

A dozen of Marshall stacks is not necessarily needed for Rock'n'Roll, so the band produced their 2002 release "unplugged", which was recorded during several gigs in Bielefeld and Guetersloh. Angus & Co's songs on acoustic guitars does work well, as you will hear!
